Gero Onsen

During the Edo Period, Hayashi Razan described Gero Onsen as one of the three best hot spring resort. Nowadays the town became more urban but the ryokans and famous hot spring water still remain with all their charm. Gero is located between Nagoya and Takayama, about an hour south of Takayama.
