Kyoto, Japan

Enjoy a tranquil and traditional stay in this captivating Kyoto machiya holiday house complete with a beautiful private garden.
“Asagi-an” is inspired by the rich ‘asagi’ turquoise blue which was colour worn by samurai warriors in Kyoto during the Edo period. From the ‘wash’ paper walls to the porcelain dish ware and more, this colour is designed to bring history and calm to your stay.
The house is also adorned with a replica of a grand mural found in Nijo Castle, a UNESCO world heritage site located just a leisurely walk from “Asagi-an”.
