Kurokawa Onsen, Kyushu
Welcome to Sanga Ryokan. This gorgeous Traditional Ryokan has 15 Japanese-style rooms, and some of the guest rooms have their own private hot spring bath. Sanga Ryokan has wonderful indoor and outdoor hot spring baths for both women and men (same gender only), and there is also a mixed outdoor bath for women and men (both genders). Sanga Ryokan has a hot spring “family bath” where a family can hang a sign outside and bathe privately. Please ask at the front desk for details. Traditional Japanese cuisine is served to the guests. Check-in time is after 15:00 and check-out time is before 10:00 am. Parking is available. Sanga Ryokan has a pick-up service from Kurokawa Onsen Bus stop. Please call them when you arrive at the bus stop using the number on your confirmation e-mail.
Amazing Ryokan
During our trip to Kyushu me and my girlfriend visited three Ryokan and Sanga Ryokan was the best. We had a large room in the building next to the main building. The room was huge and could have easily fitted a large family. Our private outdoor bath was beautiful and next to our bath a small stream of water added to the atmosphere. The mixed outdoor bath was simply stunning, the most beautiful place I’ve ever bathed in. The outdoor family bath was also beautiful, with a small river next to it. The family bath was also the place where I asked my girlfriend if she wanted to be my wife. Luckily she said yes, and luckily room service could offer champagne. The food experience we had here was unparalleled to anything we’ve ever encountered. A feast both to our mouths and eyes. Service was excellent, although some of the staff had limited English speaking knowledge. We managed to understand each other, most of the time at least. The dinner menu came written in English, and the sweet girl that served tried her best to accommodate us despite the language barrier. We have nothing to complain about and are already dreaming of the next time we can visit Sanga Ryokan.

An exceptional onsen in a beautiful corner of Japan! I stayed in a few onsen ryokans before and this is the best one yet! The professional and attentive staff always keep this a quiet and relaxing place. Although my room doesn’t have a private bath, it is a lovely touch that you could book one of the three other private baths with the reception. The meals were exquisite and almost too beautiful to eat! Excellent value for money and I cannot wait to visit them again!
